Summer Meals Program – Free Summer Meals Starts June 27
Even when school is out, you can still enjoy free breakfast and lunch(Open external link)! Our 2025 Free Summer Meals Program is here for you all across New York City, and it's totally free for anyone who's 18 years old or younger. You can find these meals at specific places like select NYC Public Schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries. You don't need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals. Just head to one of our spots and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Have a great summer filled with good food and fun!
Summer Meals and Spring Survey
Families can visit the Menus page for the latest updates on school food menus. There, you’ll also find the spring survey for students and parents to provide feedback on menu options, make suggestions for additions to the menu, and share their dining experience in school cafeterias. The survey will remain open until June 27.
Family Letter on Safe Summer Travel
Keep your family safe and healthy this summer whether you are staying in New York City or traveling! Travelers may need to take extra precautions due to the increased risk of some infections. For example, there are measles outbreaks worldwide and dengue outbreaks in the Caribbean and Central and South America. Visit our website for a Travel Health Factsheet. Summer Rising - New York City Public Schools
Program Schedule K–5 Summer Rising Academics, social-emotional learning, and enrichment activities for 6 weeks (New York City Public Schools-led academics in the morning followed by extended-day enrichment provided by DYCD CBOs), with a seventh week of DYCD CBO-led enrichment and trips
Important Dates
- July 2, 2025: Summer Rising starts for K-8 students.
- August 15, 2025: Summer Rising ends for elementary school students

Remote Learning Schedule
If our school should have to transition to remote learning, all K-5 students should log into their class’s Google Classroom by 8:10 am on the day of remote learning. A schedule for the day will be provided at that time. Should you have any questions about accessing Google Classroom, please speak to your child’s classroom teacher. Students in 3K and PreK will receive assignments for remote learning from their classroom teachers.
